SAWS workouts are provided without additional cost to Treasure Valley Family YMCA members. Check pools/workouts to find scheduled workouts that interest you, and come swim with us!

SAWS belongs to the USMS - Snake River LMSC, the Local Masters Swim Committee in the Northwest Zone of US Masters Swimming.

Sawtooth Masters (SAWS) is a swimming program for every level of adult swimmer. Members are a diverse group, ages 18-75, with varied swimming abilities from National Record Holders to recreational swimmers to triathletes. 60% of club members are not 'competitive' swimmers and had never swum in a structured, coached workout before joining our program.

SAWS offers daily workouts - morning, noon, and night at the Downtown and West YMCA. Workouts are creative and motivating. Starting with a warm up, hour-long workouts progress through drill and technique sets, a main set, and end with a cool down. Utilizing the best in aerobic exercise, the YMCA coaching staff will increase your speed, strength, pace, form, and comprehension of the sport, maximizing results for time invested training.

10/9/2011 Meet information has been posted for the 2011 Zone SCM Championship Meet, November 5-6 at Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center in Beaverton, OR. Check the Upcoming Events page.

10/9/2011 For the first time, Masters swimmers will be included in the Idaho Falls Swim Team’s “Spook SPlash”.  This year it will be held on October 28-29 at the Wes Diest Aquatic Center in Idaho Falls.  The information about this meet is now posted. Check out our Upcoming Events page.

7/26/2011 Forty-two people showed up to brave the 67 degree water and swim the Mile High Mile - Open Water Swim in McCall last Saturday.  Note the 12 year old 3rd place finisher in the results.  Nice job to all!

7/16/2011 Nice job to all who swam the Open Water Swim in Boise in June.  Results and pictures are available.

5/2/2011 Congratulations to the 9 Sawtooth Masters Swimmers who went to Short Course Nationals in Mesa Arizona.  The team came in 26 out of 146 teams!  Individual results can be found here.
